From what I hear on other sites, F-Zero X is an ok game. It is nothing spectacular. It has everything you might expect from the series but that is not enough to make it a great game. The graphics are definitely a negative. They don't look any better than gamecube and from what I have seen, look even worse than gamecube. There is an F-Zero game for the gamecube and it has better graphics than this one. That doesn't seem to make much sense but it's true.
It saddens me to see a lack luster game in the F-Zero series but there are other games in the sea. Well, right now there aren't too many others but hopefully by early next year the nintendo wii will have more games available for it. We can only hope.
